Who are we?
Stockport District is one of the largest within Greater Manchester East Scouts County. In other words we provide Help and Support to all of the local groups within the areas of Stockport listed below. We also oversee the Explorer and Network provision in the area. with around 2000 members and over 20 groups to support we provide a full and varied program of events and activities to supplement the program at group level. Where are we?
Stockport Scout District is in the Scout County of Greater Manchester East. In the North of the District we have Reddish and Levenshulme, to New Mills and Disley in the South. What do we do?
We are part of the team who help 450,000 young people in the UK enjoy new adventures; to experience the outdoors; interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Working alongside our youth members are thousands of adult volunteers, with a huge variety of roles and opportunities available.
